Job Description

 

Essentials for the role:The candidate should have a very good understanding of integration and should either be an integration specialist or have the aptitude for this role. They must have a high degree of hands-on technical ability, and ideally should be able to assist with software development work. Excellent soft skills and customer facing ability will be essential to manage customer expectation around support issues. Excellent communication skills will be required to ensure the flow of information to and from the various parties in the support process and to ensure that the customer is kept abreast of developments at all times. The candidate should have a reasonable amount of project experience where they are able to perform a technical lead role at a customer and delegate tasks to more junior staff members. In addition to this the candidate will be required to undertake self training from product documentation and manuals. Good troubleshooting skills will also be required. Technical Skills:

• Understanding of integration technologies and processes; ideally an understanding of companies suites
• C/C++ programming and XML.  
• General knowledge of MSSQL, Oracle, and Informix
• Java/J2EE development skills would be beneficial (java/object oriented programming)
• Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Client technology
• Understanding of relational database technologies and basic database design skills
• Knowledge of messaging/queuing systems/technology would be beneficial

  Soft Skills:

• Presentation skills with excellent customer facing ability
• Project management/Project Co-ordination experience or aptitude
• Good interpersonal skills and customer liaison skills
• Proactive nature being a self starter that is resourceful in finding solutions to issues
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to interact at different levels (business, technical)
• Able to work on multiple/diverse tasks concurrently
• Good team player but able to work independently

 

Desired Experience

 

Some tertiary would be beneficial but not essential.
