Job Description

 Reporting to the Manager: Decision Support Systems, you will be responsible for the following key performance areas: ·           The compilation of a range of management reports for timely distribution to various stakeholders.·           Assist in the management of data/information flow out of the department.·           Extraction, organisation and presentation of required data for statistical analysis.·           Assist in the development and administration of the information system with special reference to the building and maintaining of data marts to support reporting requirements.·           Writing ad hoc SQL queries to support both business operational and informational needs.

Desired Experience

 Requirements:·           Minimum 2 – 3 years experience in a data warehouse environment.·           Has a Degree/Diploma in Information Systems or a similar qualification·           In depth knowledge and experience of SQL Scripts and the ability to read and modify existing SQL scripts·           Is qualified and experienced working with MS Excel (Macro Level) and MS Access·           Experience working in a Change Control environment·           Experience with Business Intelligence tools - e.g. Cognos (will be an advantage)
·         Has been exposed to one or more of the following: VBA, Cognos PowerPlay,          Sybase and/or MS SQL Server.·         Has the ability to identify errors and non-sequential data  Competencies:·         Analytical and Problem Solving Skills·         Attention to Detail·         Ability to work in a team
